This time I see it
on your lifeless face
You're pained with bitter resentment
towards this, a mannequin race
Everyday you feel it
rejection of yourself
You hide in the illusion
from the fate that you've been dealt
The diamonds, how they sparkle
to replace your lightless eyes
You bury your face in satin sheets
to muffle expensive cries
Believe love is equal only
to the envy that they feel
And measure all your happiness
by the glances that they steal
Aspirations of perfection
haunt your every thought
The scales of pretty failure
hold the memories that you've bought
The judgements will consume you
swallowed by plastic lies
Your soul a hideous monster
through shallowness it dies
